A Fun Week in Mixed Age!
Hello Mixed Age Families,
We hope this email finds you all healthy and well. We had a very full week for a 4 day week and were so happy to have a full class!
A letter was sent home from Mrs. Lay about drop off protocols please be sure to read this over. We will begin drop offs inside the building again starting on Monday.
Here is what we did in the classroom this week:
Math Table~ Numbered penguins with “ice” cubes.
Discovery Table~ Dinosaurs were frozen in a block of ice and the children used salt to melt the ice and free the dinosaurs.
Easel~ Bottle Painting – We dipped the end of a bottle into white paint and put it onto paper.
Art Table~ This week they made snow globes using different shapes of paper and cotton rounds. They also enjoyed water color painting.
Books:
When Winter Comes by Robert Hess
Me Too by Mercer Mayer
The Animal Boogie by Barefoot Books – They loved the music with this book so much that we listened to it twice!
Music:
Stand Up Sit Down
Wiggle Your Fingers
Freeze Dance
The Floor is Lava
Letter L show and tell on Monday January 24.
Have a great weekend and stay warm!
Best,
Julie Haynes & Katy Fyrberg
