A New School Year in the 3's!

Good afternoon everyone!

If you haven't heard all about the first day of school from your little one, we're here to fill you in with an email at the end of their week.

They all did so well today! We're so proud of all of them, as they should be of themselves. School is a new experience for all the whole class, and one without their favorite people (you). It's an adjustment for everyone (adult loved ones included), but they all had a successful day! We can't wait to spend more time with them and get to know them better!

We can tell this is a class that loves reading! Our book today was Pete the Kitty's First Day of Preschool by Kimberly and James Dean. We did lots of playing, dancing, playing, reading, and playing!

Our centers for today were the same as what you saw for Orientation Day. It was important for them to know what to expect coming into the classroom. Next week we'll have some new things, and some things will be the same.

Art Table- First day of school, Kind to the core coloring pages and a special project that went home with those that chose to do it.

Easel- Stamps

Math Table- Color sorting vehicles and bowls

Pretend Center- Babies, bottles, blankets, brushes, etc.

Block Area- Wooden blocks, dinosaurs, wooden people, magnatiles

Writing Table- Apple tree and school maze coloring

Playdough table- Playdough, playdough scissors, rollers

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out and we'll get back to you ASAP. If you ever have anything that needs to be addressed during the school day please email Mrs. Lay or call the school. As I'm sure you can appreciate, Mrs. Taylor and I need to keep our eyes on the children at all times when they're with us.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all again next Tuesday!

Warmly,

Christina Renoni and Ashlee Taylor
