A week of virtual learning in Pre-K 1

Hi All,

Our move to a virtual learning platform was a smooth one. It was so nice to get on our Zoom Meetings and see all of the children's smiling faces. It seemed like the materials bag they left with on Friday was a hit! I loved seeing how proud they were to show off their completed projects. Our Class SeeSaw Page will continue to be available if you did not get to check it out and would like to over February Vacation Week.

Our Reading Street Book this week was Whatever the Weather by Karen Wallace. Our Reading Street Song was What's The Weather Like? Our vocabulary words were weather, storm, cold, warm, snow and bending. It was a perfect week to talk about the weather. I loved hearing on SeeSaw how the children's snow experiments were going.

We also read The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. Today, we listened to The Night Before Valentine's Day by Natasha Wing as we had our "Snack in a Sack". Each child was very excited to show off their sack and what was inside!

Our Letter of the Week was R. Our song was Racing In My Red Car.

Craft projects were the Rainbow Fish, Rocky the Raccoon, I Love You to Pieces, Weather Craft, Rectangle Robot, Cotton Ball Painting and Valentine Cutting Craft.

Math activities included Dot Marker Math, Patterns, Roll & Cover and the yummy Snack Math.

Writing Activities included Rainbow Name Writing, Name Rocket Ship and R Worksheets.

We were very fortunate to have Miss Katy (Chloe's Mom) teach us yoga on Tuesday and Thursday. Thank you again Miss Katy!

We will be exchanging Valentines and having our Dance Party when we return to school. I told the children today that we will just continue celebrating!

I hope you all have a wonderful February Vacation!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kelley
