Celebrating Valentine's Week in Enrichment!

Hi all!

We had a fun/ love/music/dance filled week in Enrichment this week!

We started off with our Valentine's Dance in Fellowship Hall, upstairs from our school. We got to meet new friends, dance our hearts out, and take a rest when we needed it!

Today we had a visit from Mrs. G. She read us a story about Cowboy Joe, and we got to help him practice his "cowboy call". Yeehaw! We also learned and sang a song where we got to play with and give hugs to some stuffed animals!

Our letter this week was "D". The children are doing a great job searching out the letters each week, and adding the new letter stickers to our big sticker puzzle! Keep looking for letters while you're out or in your own house this coming week!

Our book this week was The Day It Rained Hearts by Felicia Bond. One day it rains hearts, and Cornelia Augusta catches them. Each heart is special in its own way, and Cornelia Augusta knows exactly who to send them to.

What was NEW in centers this week?

Art- We used cut pieces of paper to fill in hearts

Easel- Valentine Color by number

Math- Count the Room- Using clipboards, clue sheets, and crayons we searched around the room for hidden pictures of Valentine objects, we counted how many were in the picture and filled it in on our clue sheet!

Playdough- Our playdough table also served as our Valentine bag headquarters this week! The children had lots of fun delivering their Valentine cards to their friends (with some help 😉).

Block area- We added a road rug, cars, buildings and road signs to this area!

Writing table- We made extra Valentine's cards for our friends and family!

We hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week, and next week!

See you soon!

Love,

Christina Renoni, Ashlee Taylor, and Erica Derbyshire
