Count Down to Summer in Enrichment!
Hi everyone!
The school year is winding down, but we are busier than ever in Enrichment!
IMPORTANT INFO:
1. If you haven't already, please send in a reusable back with your child's name on it. We don't look through the children's backpacks, so please hand it to us at the door/gate or tell your child to give it to us.
2. There is NO SCHOOL next Monday the 29th.
Our books this week were a series by Russ Burach. The Very Impatient Caterpillar, The Little Butterfly That Could, and Goodnight Butterfly. We hear there are others in the series, but we only have 3 days a week at school! This is a very funny series that also teaches a lot about butterflies (I didn't know that butterflies don't have eyelids. DId you?)
What was new in centers?
Art- Symmetrical butterflies- we painted one wing of a paper butterfly, then folded it in half! This was a BIG hit!
Easel- Stamp pads and stamps
Math- Kinetic sand and shape twisters
Pretend center- What can you make with empty boxes, colorful tape, crayons, and stickers? The possibilities are endless!
We hope you have a wonderful long weekend!
Warmly,
Erica Derbyshire, Christina Renoni, and Ashlee Taylor
