December Fun in 4 Day Pre-K!

Hello Families!

BRRRR- the cold weather is definitely upon us! PLEASE make sure your child has a warm coat, hat and mittens everyday! Also have your child practice putting their hat and mittens in the sleeves of their jacket in the morning. We had a short week due to parent-teacher conferences on Monday but we still managed to do a lot of fun activities! We made "snow" on Wednesday using white conditioner and baking soda. This was a huge hit! We also listened to some Holiday Music and did a few holiday themed Go Danny videos! Our next "Letter of the Week" is G. We will do Show and Tell on Tuesday as usual.

Here is a look at our centers....

  • Art: coffee filter snowflakes, Ugly Sweaters and Gingerbread Man stamps

  • Easel: Gingerbread House

  • Math: Count (and build) with ice blocks and penguins

  • Discovery: Felt Board (The Mitten) and "fake snow"

  • Writing: "Q" worksheets and letter magnetic boards

  • Dramatic Play: Hot Cocoa Stand, Ice Fishing and Ice Skating

  • Sensory Table: Arctic Animals, snowflakes and blue shredded paper

Books

- A House For Hermit Crab

- If You Give A Moose A Muffin

- The Littlest Yak

- If You Take A Mouse To The Movies

I hope you all have a great weekend and I will see everyone Monday morning!
