Embracing the Chill in 4 Day Pre-K!
Hello Families,
I can't believe our first full week into 2025 is over! It was SO cold this week so we didn't get to venture outside as much as we usually do. We did an indoor obstacle course, exercised, and a few Danny Go videos to keep busy during "recess" time. We did go out one day but we lasted about 10 minutes due to the temperature and wind. Please make sure your child has a winter coat, hat and mittens/gloves everyday. If your child is in need of these items please let me know.
Our next letter of the week is J!
Here is a look at our centers....
Art: cotton ball penguins, gingerbread man shapes, snow globe, hot chocolate cup (paper plate and cotton balls) bingo dot penguins and guided drawing of a penguin which is hanging up on our bulletin board
Science: fizzing ice experiment and snow storm in a jar
Math: scavenger hunt around the classroom (they loved this!) and building set with different materials
Writing: worksheets, books and drawing boards related to letter S
Books
-Whatever The Weather (Reading Street)
-Geraldine's Big Snow
-Miles Comes Home
-The Snowy Day
-Franklin's Bad Day
Don't forget to buy your Spaghetti Supper/Bingo tickets for this fun event happening Saturday January 18th! I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will see you Monday morning!
