Feeling Thankful in 4 Day Pre-K!
Hello Families!
How in the world is November almost over?! This year is flying by! The children have been making alot of progress so far this school year and we are so proud of them! On Monday we have our Friendship Feast! I will take a video of them performing their song and try my best to upload it for you all to see! They do NOT need to bring in a morning snack for Monday because we will have snacks at our Feast (they still need to pack lunch though!)
Reminder that this is a short week so we won't have any homework or Show & Tell!
We have recieved 4 Turkeys in Disguise back and they are hanging up on the bulletin board! If you child has yet to bring theirs back please do so by tomorrow, Monday November 20th.
On Monday, Mr.G came to the classroom and read "Snowy Day" to the kids. They loved having him visit!
Math Center last week was a Pumpkin Pie dice game! The children had to roll the dice and put the correct number of orange pom-poms in their cupcakes liner.
Art last week we made handprint Turkeys which are hanging up on the bulletin board. We also finished our Friendship Tree. We also made turkey hats to wear for our Friendship Feast that the kids will be able to take home afterwards.
The Science Table last week consisted of feeding Tom Turkey pom-poms and discovering the different sounds in the shaker boxes.
At the Easel last week we had Thanksgiving and Fall coloring sheets! On Thursday we let them do "Free Art" which is always alot of fun because it shows their imagination!
Dramatic Play is still set up as a Safari which they love! Play-Doh is yellow and we brought out a bunch of new tools for them to use. At the Writing Table we had a variety of Letter C worksheets and some new cutting worksheets as well.
Our books this week were "A House for Hermit Crab" and "Snowy Day". We continued to practice "Scarecrow Scarecrow" and "Cubby Cat" including the sign language for letter C.
We are looking forward to watching the kids perform during the Friendship Feast! Have a great rest of your weekend and we will see you all tomorrow!
