Happy Thanksgiving from Pre-K 1!
Hi All,
We had a great two days of school.
Some of the activities that took place in our classroom were:
Art Easel: Water color painting-there were two different turkey worksheets available to paint.
Project Table: Turkey Puppets-we continued this craft due to popular demand!
Turkey Hats...the children made a hat to wear to our Friendship Feast. I loved that each one was unique....some had wings, one had a beard, some had a couple feathers while others were full of feathers.😊
Dot Markers with a turkey to decorate
Writing Table: Trolls haircutting worksheets Paper & markers
Math Table: Pattern Puzzles
Listening Center: Thanksgiving for Emily Ann by Teresa Johnston
Discovery Table: Magna tiles, marbles and metal pans. The children LOVED this. They were busy trying to build their own marble runs.
On Monday, we read A Plump and Perky Turkey by Teresa Bateman.
Today, we had a wonderful time at our Friendship Feast. We enjoyed our snack in our classroom. There were a lot of goodies! We made a snack mix (cheerios, Fritos, marshmallows & chocolate chips.....some children were asking me for the "recipe"). We also had fruit salad, pumpkin muffins, popcorn and water. Mrs. Lehane read Pete The Cat: The First Thanksgiving by James Dean. We performed our song for the other classes in Fellowship Hall. Our group did a wonderful job singing "The Turkey Dance" (video is attached). I was very proud.
Just a reminder that we do not have school on Monday, November 29th. It is parent/teacher conferences.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kelley
