Last week of 2020 in Pre-K 1
Hi Everyone,
We had a great few days in our classroom this week. The children were very busy making their holiday gift and gift bag for you. Because of this, I was not able to take many pictures within our classroom. I hope you enjoy your gift!
This was our last week of the Post Office, sand in the sensory boxes and our green sparkly play doh.
This week we read The Perfect Present by Stella Jones & There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bell! by Lucille Colandro.
We also listened to Santa Duck by David Milgrim.
Other activities in our classroom this week were:
Discovery: I Spy Game-the children would shake up the dice and try to find a match to their cards. The children really enjoy games!
Math: Geoboards-Lots of things were being made (different shapes, snowflakes, fireworks, guitars).
Project Table: This was a very busy spot this week. We worked on the holiday gifts. Also, the children painted popsicle sticks to make a tree and added glitter. This class love glitter! The next day they were able to add pipe cleaner and pom poms to decorate their tree.
Art Easel: Water color painting...outline of a tree was provided and the children could paint it and add foam stickers to decorate it.
If you are interested, Mrs. T is having a Holiday Sing-along this morning at 10 am on Facebook. Her Facebook page is Tunes For Tots.
I wanted to thank you very much for my gift! I felt very spoiled when I opened it and truly appreciate your generosity! I wish you and your families a very Happy Holiday!
I look forward to seeing everyone when we return to school on January 4, 2021.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kelley
