Lots of Learning in Mixed Age!
Hello Mixed Age families!
I hope you all had a wonderful and restful thanksgiving break. It was so nice meeting with each of you during conferences this week, thank you for coming in! We talked all about the holiday at school and I was so happy to hear about their favorite parts - cranberry bread, turkey, and the parade just to name a few!
I am sending the video from our friendship feast in a separate email due to the size The kids did such a great job remembering the words and singing loud and proud!
Here’s a recap of what we did this week, in addition to our sensory, play-dough, and imaginative play stations:
Discovery: Our friends were busy at the discovery table this week matching wooden shapes to their silhouette counterpart.
Math: At the math table this week the friends counted out rubber ducks on numbered lily pads
Art: We are getting ready for December and working on pieces for our bulletin board! This week our class worked hard on our class tree. Each day the friends added a new element to the tree. On Tuesday they painted a large piece of paper using sponges, scrub brushes, rollers, and paint brushes. On Wednesday they glue on crumpled up tissue paper and feathers, Thursday they added red and green pom poms, and Friday they finished it off with gold stars!
