May is Here in Enrichment!
Hi everyone!
First, we want to say thank you for the generous and thoughtful gifts we received for teacher appreciation week. We're so excited to be able to use these things in the classroom! We can't wait to share them with the kids!
As I'm sure most (or at least some) of you may have heard, we had a very exciting event in our class this week! Tuesday the Zoomobile from Roger Williams Park Zoo came to visit! We learned about different habitats (we also learned WHAT a habitat is) and got to meet and learn about 3 animals that the zookeepers brought with them. Splits the rabbit, Cornelius the corn snake, and Armando the box turtle were lots of fun to watch and learn about!
Our book this week was Kite Day by Will Hillenbrand. Mole and Bear worked hard to build a kite, but when a storm came through the string broke and the kite flew away. When they found it again it was stuck in a tree, but covering a nest of baby birds and protecting them from the rain.
What was NEW in centers this week?
Art- Special project- I can't get into the details, but you'll know soon!
Easel- Color by number butterfly pictures
Math- Magnetic dress up
Discovery- Lacing shapes and Nuts and bolts twisting shapes
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Have a wonderful rest of your week!
Warmly,
Christina and Brenda
