May is Here in Mixed Age!
Hello Mixed Age Families,
We hope this email finds you well. The weeks are going ever so fast and we have a limited time left with your precious little ones. We have started a paper chain in the classroom as a count down to how many dat we have left......not many :(. There will many things we are going to do in the next few weeks to prepare for the end of the school year and for the graduation for the kids going to kindergarten in the fall.
Here is what we did on the classroom this week:
Math Table~ Roll the dice and count out that many crystals. There were dice with just numbers on them as well as two with dots 1-6.
Discovery Table~ Butterfly making with cloth pieces and clothespins. There were plastic butterfly life cycle plastic pieces and picture cards of the life cycle of a butterfly at the center as well.
Easel~ Free art watercolor painting, a class favorite for sure. Flower pictures and shimmer dot markers
Art/Writing Table~ Mother's Day activity and Life cycle of butterflies using pasta; bean/egg, rotini/caterpillar, shell/cacoon & bowtie pasta/butterfly. There were coloring sheets as well and W sheets on the table, the kids have been enjoying coloring pictures for their classmates and teachers.....our bulletin boards are bursting with artwork!!

Mrs. Lehane came in and read Julian is a Mermaid by Jessica Love on Monday morning. They always enjoy a story read by Mrs. Lehane and Mrs. Fyrberg too
Our show and tell letter next week is the letter X, please have your child bring in 1 item on Monday morning.
