Playing, Learning and Growing in 4 Day Pre-K!

Hello!

The weather is definitely starting to feel like FALL! Please remember to send in a jacket or sweatshirt for your child because we go out early in our day and it's been a little chilly. The kids all did a good job with "F" that I feel confident to move on to our next letter. Our next Letter Of The Week is E! As always, Show & Tell is on Tuesday but if your child happens to be out they can bring in their item the next day that they return to school.

We had to have a refresher on "school rules and expectations" today in the classroom. We also had a conversation about speaking kindly to others including adults. I have been working with them on being more independent as well, such as putting on their own jackets/zippers, packing up their backpacks and cleaning up their trash after snack or lunch. Being able to do these tasks is really important as they move up and it gives them the confidence that they can do these things on their own. Our mantra is "I Can Do Hard Things"

Here is a look at our centers .....

  • Art: Q-Tip Fall Trees, Handprint Fish tanks, Leaf Stamps, Bingo dot "F" and Free Art

  • Discovery: Color Sorting, Magnets and Frog Dissection (stuffed animal with visuals brought in by one of our students- Thank You Teddy!)

  • Math: Fall Counters and Measuring objects with cubes

  • Writing: "F" worksheets, books, I-Spy and practice writing our names
