Toodle-loo 2022 in Mixed Age!
Hello Mixed Age Families,
We had a wonderful week together this week. Lots of projects made and last minute things to get done. It's hard to believe that 2022 is almost over and when we come back on January 3 it will be 2023. Here is what we did in the classroom this week.
Math Table~ Tweezer Tongs color sorting kits. They enjoyed sorting the little balls into the different tubes. The balls were rolling every where but they certainly had fun.
Discovery Table~ Building with Brainflakes. Cool creations were made and were all very colorful
Easel~ Dot painting penguins
Art/Writing Table~ This week they decorated their bags, reindeer food, assorted coloring sheets, bell and bead bracelets, they also had Rudolph coloring sheets and after they were done coloring they could glue a red nose on him. Today they all made reindeer food with oatmeal and glitter.
Our Seeds of Stem activity this week: Panda had a problem because his Mr. Potato friends did not have proper foot attire and they needed a house to stay in so their feet could be warm. They had paper towel tubes, cardboard, pool noodle pieces, plastic trays and paper plates as well as tape to use. They made tents, umbrellas and houses for the potato heads and they were all able to be warm.
Mrs. Lehane came in to read on Monday, she read Winters Secret
Mrs. G came in today and brought her ukulele and bells, They kids listened to Sleigh Ride and they used pool noodles to tap on the floor as the music was playing and also rang jingle bells along to the music. Mrs. G let them all take their bells home.
