Week 13 in Mixed Age
Hello Mixed Age Families,
We had a great couple of days at school this week and the kids had fun exploring all the new centers. It was wonderful talking with all of you on Monday for conferences. Please remember to send in mittens and hats each day as the playground gets very cold and now that it is December the colder air will be around more often than not. Thank you in advance.
Here is what we did in the classroom this week.
Math Table~ Numbered pine trees and red and green counters.
Discovery Table~ Magna tiles and small colorful jingle bells.
Art/Writing Table~ Gingerbread men using ribbon and stickers and googly eyes. They all worked hard and loved using Elmers Glue. There was also Holiday stamps and paper for some free art!
Listening Center~ Santa Duck By David Milgrim
Easel~ Painting with bows using red and green paint
Sensory Bins~ Shredded color paper and assorted treasures to find mixed in. They enjoyed the hunt to see what they could find.
Play Doh~ Red peppermint scented and green play-doh are in their bins this month along with assorted Holiday cookie cutters to use.
