Weekly Highlights in 4 Day Pre-K!

Hello Families!

I can't believe next week is our last week together before 2025! This school year is flying by! There are a few holiday-themed events planned for next week. These special days are always optional. On Tuesday December 17th we are going to do everything GRINCH inspired (math, science, art ect.) Your child is encouraged to wear green or any Grinch themed clothing. On Wednesday December 18th it is POLAR EXPRESS day! Your child is allowed to wear their pajamas to school (no slippers) and bring their favorite stuffed animal. Lastly on Thursday December 19th its HOLIDAY SWEATER day. We will also be making a fun treat (ice cream cone christmas trees) during centers for the kids to take home and enjoy. This week we had a special visit from Mrs.T who came and played some holiday music for the kids to dance and sing-along to. I will not be sending any homework in their folders and we will skip Show & Tell this week as well. PLEASE make sure your child has a warm coat, mittens and a winter hat everyday for recess. It has been very cold these last few days.

Here is a look at our centers...

  • Art: "child's name" snowmen, "G" gumball machines with bingo dots, holiday themed cookie cutter stamps and painted some ornaments

  • Math: we measured each kid and some other objects in the classroom using Gingerbread Men

  • Discovery: Fake Snow, Penguins and Felt Board "The Mitten" story

  • Writing: variety of "G" worksheets and books
