Winter Wonders in Mixed Age!
Good evening, everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the week and had a relaxing snow day yesterday. This week the mixed age class continued to discuss Valentines Day and have been working hard on their bags for Valentines Day cards. Again, next week the children can begin bringing in cards on Monday and can through Friday, please no candy! The letter of the week will be P! Here is a look at what we did in class this week.
At the art table the kids have been creating their own personalized bags for cards. They were also able to marble paint hearts and they loved this activity!
The writing table included free draw and Pete The Cat Valentines Day coloring pages.
The art easel included water color painting valentines day themed pictures.
The math table included heart shaped math puzzles.
At the discovery center we made our own heart shaped bird feeders with red and pink pipe cleaners, twine and cereal.
This week during morning meeting we read: Pete the Cat Valentine's Day is Cool
The Day it Rained Hearts
We enjoyed another great week here at Jack and Jill and I hope that everyone has an equally great weekend! Be safe and enjoy the snow!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Mackenzie and Mrs. Haynes
